The University of Memphis Biomedical Engineering Department offers the B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering and the M.S. & Ph.D, degrees in Biomedical Engineering thorough the UofM-UTHSC Joint Graduate Program in Biomedical Engineering. Our ABET-accredited program continues to grow in size, scope, and impact, with a strong record of post-graduate success for our students. Approximately 50% of graduates secure employment in biomedical or related health industries or institutions, 30% pursue an advanced graduate degree program, and 10% enroll in professional school programs. Graduate students in the Joint program work with national/internationally recognized biomedical engineering researchers while taking advantage of the resources of the engineering and basic science programs at the UofM and the biomedical and clinical programs at the UTHSC. All students entering the graduate biomedical program are matriculated in the Joint Program with their degree awarded from both institutions.
