Session Title for Website and App: Building Scholarship Collaborations: Computing in Biomedical Engineering Education

Special Session Program Description: Are you teaching in a course or program that involves computing, computational approaches, data science, generative AI, or related topics? You should attend this session if (1) you are interested in developing scholarship around your innovations in teaching computing in BME education or (2) you are familiar with education scholarship and would like to work with instructors on computing topics. We aim to encourage formation of partnerships between instructors implementing these topics in their courses or programs and pedagogy-focused instructors. These partnerships will enable implementation, evaluation, and publication of high-impact, evidence-based practices. Examples of programs and courses might include programming or computation methods courses in BME, K-12 outreach, “boot camps”, hackathons, community partnerships, or other co-and extra-curricular experiences at the undergraduate, graduate, or postdoctoral level.
