Rachel Daso is a current PHD candidate studying Biomedical Engineering at Northwestern University where she works primarily under Dr. Jonathan Rivnay. She is interested in developing novel conductive biohybrid materials to guide peripheral nerve recovery after injury and is higly motivated by the issues of delayed peripheral nerve repair. She is a member of the T32 Regenerative Engineering Training Program at Northwestern University under Guillermo Ameer and works with a clinical team at the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab to bring novel peripheral nerve regeneration techniques from the benchtop to the bedside.
