Currently a Integrated Cardiothoracic surgery resident at The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. My overall career goal is to run an NIH-funded tissue engineering lab at an academic medical center while teaching and practicing as a congenital cardiac surgeon. My long-term research goal is to combine advanced 3D tissue engineering approaches, like bioprinting, with image based computational modelling to investigate regenerative, functional tissue constructs for the treatment of congenital cardiothoracic disease.
