PhD Student
Lehigh University
Howell, New Jersey, United States
Joseph earned his undergraduate degree in Bioengineering at Lehigh University. Throughout his undergraduate career, he explored various research interests. He pursued independent research under Dr. Berdichevsky on an automated cell counting program and investigated, under Dr. Perry, the effects of graphene oxide on L6 Myoblast proliferation in a hydrogel scaffold. Joseph was able to learn industry skills through two internships in both the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. As a first-year PhD student at Lehigh University in the Seshadri Lab, Joseph focuses on the areas of wearable technology for human performance optimization, fabrication of novel biomaterials for chronic wounds, and point-of-care diagnostics to aid in disease diagnosis and treatments. Outside of the lab, Joseph likes to spend time with friends and family, watches movies and television, and loves traveling. He also enjoys watching/playing soccer and competes in powerlifting.
