Dr. Xia has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry and NanoScience Technology Center (joint appointment) at University of Central Florida (UCF) since August, 2021, and had been an Assistant Professor at UCF during 2018-2021. Prior to his appointment at UCF, I worked at Michigan Tech as an assistant professor from 2014 to 2018. He did his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Xiamen University, China (2006-2011). During his PhD study, he worked as a visiting student at Washington University in St Louis during 2009-2011. He worked at Georgia Institute of Technology as a Postdoc Fellow from 2012-2014. So far, he has co-authored over 70 peer reviewed articles that have been cited over 10,000 times.
