Yuan (Kevin) Li is a Ph.D. student in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Columbia University. In 2024, Yuan graduated with a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at UNC and NCSU, where he investigated minimally invasive methods to deliver cardiac therapeutics in pigs. In 2022, Yuan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Florida, where he primarily worked with Dr. Christine Schmidt and focused on engineering novel materials and therapeutics to stimulate damaged peripheral and spinal neurons to regenerate. Currently, Yuan is investigating the therapeutic potential of extracellular vesicles for cardiac repair using large animal models of myocardial infarction.
