Yadiel Varela Soler is a dedicated Ph.D. candidate in the Chemical and Biochemical Engineering Department at Rutgers University. With a strong background in chemical engineering, Yadiel’s research focuses on developing nanomedicine to enhance the therapeutic effectiveness of antimicrobials against lung infections. During a 10-week internship at Merck (also known as MSD), Yadiel explored disulfide bond cleavage, gaining practical insights into pharmaceutical research and development.
