Antonina (Nina) Maxey is a fifth year PhD candidate in the Biomedical Engineering department at University of Southern California. She obtained her BS in Bioengineering with a minor in Industrial Engineering from University of Pittsburgh and her MS in Mechanical Engineering at USC. Nina worked in the medical device industry as a manufacturing supervisor, R&D engineer, and quality engineer for intravenous drugs and pumps and flowable surgical sealants. Her PhD research focuses on functional assays for uterine smooth muscle cells.
