Elena Di Mare is a third year PhD student at Rutgers studying Biomedical Engineering. She received her BS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a major in Materials Science and Engineering, a focus on biomaterials, and a minor in Italian. Elena primarily performs research on biomimetic materials, including single chain polymeric nanoparticles for the formation of protein- and enzyme-mimetics.
