Sarah graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2020 with a Biochemistry degree coupled with Chemistry and Business Leadership minors. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Georgia. Since joining a biomaterials lab at UGA, she has learned to fabricate antimicrobial materials through the utilization of cost-effective naturally sourced elements such as nitric oxide and bacteriophages.
