Lauren is currently a PhD student at the University of Maryland in the bioengineering department. She received her Bachelor's of Biomedical Engineering from the University of Delaware. Her research focus is studying how we can reduce the risk of diabetes-induced vascular disease. She is specifically looking at how the arginase-eNOS pathway can be used to better understand the development of endothelial dysfunction in people with diabetes.
