Special Session Program Description: A panel discussion with recent hires and newly tenured faculty share their expertise on best approaches to achieving tenure success starting from day one. Discussion topics include: starting your new lab, a research plan that is realistic and works, grants and publications – how much is enough, making time for life outside of the lab, friends and foes in the workplace, and gathering the support and mentorship you need.
