PhD Candidate
University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus
Aurora, Colorado, United States
I am a PhD Candidate in Bioengineering at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, where I work in the lab of Dr. Richard Benninger in the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes. I have a broad interest in applying biomaterials and nanotechnology towards immune modulation, particularly directed towards T cells in the context of autoimmunity. I am currently working on a research project that utilizes lipid-shelled nanobubbles as image-guided delivery vehicles for tolerogenic peptides in mouse models of type 1 diabetes. I plan on graduating in Spring 2025 searching for postdoctoral research opportunities related to applications of drug delivery, nanotechnology, and biomaterials to immunology. I can be reached by email (mark.ciccaglione@cuanschutz.edu), phone (201-359-6631), and/or Linkedin (www.linkedin.com/in/mark-ciccaglione-735359123)
