I aim to bring innovation to research through the integration of human elements and technology. My passion lies in the exploration of physiological signals and systems, cerebral autoregulation, and the autonomic nervous system through continuous, non-invasive monitoring techniques like diffuse correlation spectroscopy (DCS) and near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS).
Areas of Expertise:
Innovation in Research: Over the years, I've developed built-in self-tests for FPGAs, wearable/implantable computers, and gesture recognition algorithms.
Physiological Systems: My current interests lie in the intricacies of physiological signals and systems, specifically through non-invasive monitoring.
Brain Function and Entertainment: I'm well-versed in the intersection of technology, entertainment, and design (TED), particularly as it relates to brain function.
When I'm not immersed in research, you can find me catching waves as a weekend surfer, volunteering with Save Our Beach, or on the judo mat ready for a new challenge. Let's connect and see how we can create a positive impact together!
