Subhankar Kundu was born in Gangarampur, West Bengal, India. He completed his BSc and MSc from Scottish Church College (University of Calcutta, 2014) and National Institute of Technology Rourkela (2016), respectively. He was the gold medalist during his MSc. Later he joined the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal for PhD under the supervision of Dr. Abhijit Patra and completed his PhD in September 2022. His PhD thesis work was based on the function-led design and deciphering the molecular self-assembly of pi-conjugated fluorophores. Currently, Subhankar is working on molecular cell mechanics employing cellular force nanoscopy at Hoxworth Blood Center, UC health, USA, as part of his post-doctoral research under the guidance of Prof. Xuefeng Wang.
