Zachary A. Dooley, MS (he/him/his)

Currently. Mr. Dooley is the Sr. Manager of Research & Testing at OrthoFix Medical Inc. In this role, he supervises all Research & Testing employees and coordinates all of the in-house mechanical testing to improve products and gain regulatory clearances. Mr. Dooley is also the voting member of OrthoFix Medical Inc. to ASTM and serves as co-chair of ASTM’s subcommittee F04.25 on spinal devices. Additionally, he is part of the USA delegation to ISO TC 150 (implants for surgery) and participates in ISO working groups on spinal devices and medical device coatings. In 2023, Mr. Dooley was selected to the BMES board of directors, and is working to helping BMES pursue their mission of advancing human health through education, discovery, and translation.
Mr. Dooley received his undergraduate degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in Bioelectronics Engineering with minors in Chemistry, Biology, and Electrical Engineering. He also has a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
