My name is Smily Avula. I am originally from Seattle, Washington and I have moved to Richmond Hill, Georgia since the start of 2016. I am currently a rising Senior at Mercer University and pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering. I find it interesting to see medicine and engineering work in harmony to help mankind. Having doctors to treat patients is one thing, but having the right equipment and infrastructure is a whole another concept.
After earning my bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, I will continue studying to earn my Master’s and specialize in Research development. I want to learn more about the field as I always had an interest in research and development. I would like to apply for my “first” job to gain hands-on experience in the field. I will continue to work hard in becoming a few steps closer to what I aspire to be, Research Scientist in biomedical engineering. I want to help people get the best care by being behind the scenes of medicine.
My favorite hobbies are listening to music while coloring/drawing because it helps me to chill and relax after a long day. It is also fun! Reading is also another activity I like to do. I don’t have any specific genre, as long as it piques my interest.
