Jordan Miner is a PhD Candidate studying Biomedical Engineering at the University of Maine in the Graduate School of Biomedical Science and Engineering under the advisement of Dr. Karissa Tilbury and Dr. Andre Khalil. She graduated as the Outstanding Graduating Student in the College of Engineering from UMaine in 2021 with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and two minors in Electrical Engineering and Bioinstrumentation. Her research focuses on studying 3D breast cancer spheroid models in collagen rich environments to explore the role of integrins in the progression of breast cancer. Her goal is to identify novel biomarkers as a predictive tool to distinguish benign from aggressive breast cancers in the early stages of cancer development, ultimately leading to improved patient care.
