Gaiane (Maia) Rauch, M.D., Ph.D, FSABI, FSBI, is a Professor of Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She holds dual appointment in the Abdominal and Breast Departments at MDACC.
Dr. Rauch is Director of Molecular Breast Imaging, and Director of Functional Imaging Lab. Dr. Rauch is a recognized researcher with focus on use of Advanced Functional Imaging modalities and Quantitative imaging for development of novel imaging biomarkers to improve risk stratification, therapy planning and endpoint evaluation in patients with breast, rectal and cervical cancer.
Dr. Rauch is and/or has been a principal investigator (PI), co-PI or collaborator on multiple grants, including from the Center for Advanced Biomedical Imaging (CABI), Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT), and National Institutes of Health/National Cancer Institute (NIH/NCI). Dr. Rauch serves at numerous national and international professional committees, including ACR, RSNA, SAR, SBI, SNMMI, SABI. She actively mentors physicians and scientists at the different stages of their career. She authored or co-authored over 90 articles and 220 abstracts.
