Jonathan Dorogin (he/him/his) is PhD Candidate and NSERC PGS-D Scholar at the University of Oregon – Knight Campus working in Dr. Marian Hettiaratchi’s lab. He completed a Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Nanotechnology Engineering at the University of Waterloo followed by a Master’s of Applied Science in Biomedical Engineering at McMaster University. During his MASc, he worked under Dr. Todd Hoare to develop ultrasound triggered drug delivery vehicles for cancer therapy. Following his graduation, he worked at Trillium Meditec to develop a library of zwitterionic hydrogels for osteoarthritis treatment. His doctoral work in the Hettiaratchi Lab focuses on engineering affinity-based materials for controlled and sequential protein codelivery with applications in immunomodulation and bone regeneration. He has been awarded a Doctocal Level scholarship from the Natural Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) for his proposed work.
