Dr. Shun Zhang received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering Department from the University of California at San Diego in 2018. His doctoral thesis is about the mechanics of flow, contractility and adhesion in soft-bodied locomotion. His postdoc training was mentored by Prof. Roger Kamm at MIT. He is currently a Professor and Investigator in the State Key Laboratory of Stem Cell and Reproductive Biology, Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. His current research interest is engineering in vitro vascular network in microfluidic chips, and further incorporate it in various microphysiological systems and organoid models.
