Session Title for Website and App: NIH/NIBIB Scientific Review – Update on Changes to NIH Review and Mock Review Panel
Special Session Program Description: Part 1: NIBIB Director of Office of Scientific Review (OSR), Manana Sukhareva will present the new NIH Simplifying Review Framework for Research Project Grants (RPGs) and Revisions to the NIH Fellowship Applications and Peer review. Simplified Review Framework will reorganize five regulatory and additional review criteria and considerations in RPG applications review. Fellowship application changes include revised instructions for applicants and application forms and reorganized fellowship review criteria. Part 2: Mock Review Panel. In this session a moderator, a group of mock reviewers, SRO and PO will present how NIH applications are reviewed in a review panel. The mock panel will review fellowship and career development awards for different career stages, and research project grant applications.
